March is Child Health & Development Month

NOTE FROM THE EDITOR: Due to a technical glitch, March's post was not uploaded to The Flame's blog. We rectify that here and apologize for the oversight.

March has long been our month to spotlight Child Health & Development. This month, we highlight organizations that have been known to the Foundation for a substantial period of time (along with two new organizations). Each of these organizations received a donation this month.

In Wheaton:

  • DuPage Care Center

  • DuPage Habitat for Humanity

  • International Rett Syndrome Foundation

  • LJ’s Healing Hearts (a NEW organization for the Foundation)

  • Project Fire Buddies (a NEW organization for the Foundation)

  • WDSRA (Western DuPage Special Recreation Association)

In Austin:

  • Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas

  • CASA Travis County

  • Partnerships for Children

Since the Foundation's inception, the physical and mental health of kids has been a focus through a variety of organizations. See the chart below for a year-by-year account of donations made to March's theme.

We're pleased to report that since 2012, the Foundation has donated a total of $1.5 million to Child Health & Development!
