Polar Bear Plunge

Nearly 400 participants, including FT Cares Foundation's Director of Development Lisa Weier, ran through Lake Michigan for the 18th annual Polar Plunge at Oak Street Beach on January 26.   Hosted by the Chicago Polar Bear Club and sponsored by the Foundation, the annual event raised more than $30,000 for three local families in need. The air temperature was about 8 degrees. Lisa will be plunging again, this year (2022), on February 26th!
