A Decade of Light!

JOIN US at One of the Most Popular Races in DuPage County!
Since 2014, the FT Cares Foundation has held its annual Light the Torch 5K Run & Walk each fall. This unique race begins in downtown Wheaton just after sunset. In partnership with the Wheaton Park District, we can promise a great time will be had by all! This year, we celebrate our 10th Light the Torch 5K!

PRE-RACE, kids and adults enjoy a face painter, a kid’s slide and other fun activities (all free!).
Of course, Torchy and the Fire Princess are on hand to pass out free glow items, take pictures with fans and cheer runners and walkers on!
The race goes through the streets of Wheaton, ending in luminary lanes at the finish line.
Known as the FLASHIEST race around, bring your own flash to the race (got your own light-up necklaces, bracelets, rings or headbands)? As we always say, the MORE GLOW THE BETTER!
AFTER THE RACE, participants can enjoy live entertainment, carnival rides, crafts and a food & beer garden at October Fest, hosted by DuPage County Historical Museum!
REGISTRATION includes a very cool commemorative t-shirt and glow giveaways. Shirts are first-come, first-served.
THIS IS A CHIP-TIMED RACE. Overall winners and individual age category winners are determined by chip time.
