The SAFE Alliance.jpg

The Foundation has committed to helping The SAFE ALLIANCE in a summer initiative. The Safe Alliance is a merger of Austin Children's Shelter and SafePlace, both long-standing and respected human service agencies in Austin serving the survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation and domestic violence.

How Can You Help? By helping kids and teens feel confident as they head back to school by providing a brand new clothing set for them. Each set (must be new) and include:

  • 3 tops

  • 3 bottoms

  • Socks

  • Underwear

  • 1 pair of sneakers (please pick a size that could work for the approximate size of the clothing you are purchasing)

  • Option: You can include an H-E-B, Walmart or haircut/barber/hair services gift card to help with other back-to-school needs. If you add the gift card, please write the amount on the card.

  • We've committed to 6 new sets!

How Will it Work? Sign-up sheet is located on the Foundation Bulletin Board in the coffee room near Andy's office. Please sign up if you able (IDEA: team up with others in your department(s) to get a set and everyone purchases an item or two).

Where do I Bring My Items? All items should be delivered to Amy Lum (at desk 8-311) by the end of the day on Thursday, August 3rd, so they may be delivered ahead of the start of the new school year.  Feel free to reach out to Amy with any questions.
