Foundation Week

Foundation Week 2022, celebrating our 10th anniversary and the fulfillment of the Foundation’s mission to transform lives locally, nationally and globally during our first decade was a huge success! Here are the numbers.

Foundation Partners
Payroll received 152 automatic deduction forms during Foundation Week. Over 100 of them are NEW Foundation Partners, and the rest are changes to existing deductions. We have
achieved the milestone of having (over) 50% of First Trust signed on as Foundation
Partners! We couldn’t be more thrilled for the trust you have placed in the Foundation and we will continue, with your ongoing support, to transform lives. Thanks to all our new and existing Partners!
      Silent Auction
  • We had 57 auction items and packages!

  • There were 444 distinct bids!

  • 15 of our colleagues donated their handiwork, which raised $3,865! (THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!)

  • Total auction proceeds: $35,461!

Super Pledge Drive

We raised funds for DonorsChoose, an organization the Foundation has known, and made donations to, for many years. Our goal was to raise $500 for a classroom project in every state, for a goal of $25,000 (and a match from First Trust!).

We are pleased to announce that, through your generosity, we raised $33,900, and with the match from FTP, the total raised was $67,800! That translates into $1,356 for EACH STATE, which more than doubled our original goal!

Thank YOU to each donor who contributed. You have helped to fund A LOT of classroom projects, and we are immensely grateful. And a bunch of teachers and students are going to be as well as they hit their classrooms this fall!

Split the Pot, Wheaton
Ticket sales were brisk all week, and on Friday, when the drawing was held, there was a pot of $3,230, with the split of $1,615 won by Ann Marie Giudice, who rewarded her staff with ice cream to celebrate! Way to go, Ann Marie. Click the right arrow to see her picture!!

Wheaton Service Project
The Service Project for this year was a “take home” project where we asked you to paint flower pots. You heard the call, and we were able to deliver 53 planted pots to the DuPage Care Center for some of the seniors who live there. Thank you to all who participated!
Austin Service Project
The Austin Service Project was for The SAFE Alliance and one of its summer initiatives. To help kids and teens feel confident as they head back to school, Austin collected sets of clothing. Called “Confidence Kits”, 3 boys and 3 girls received a complete outfit (consisting of at least 3 bottoms—pants, shorts, skirts, 3 tops, several pairs of underwear and socks and a pair of sneakers, plus a dress and jean jacket for one lucky girl!) Thanks to Austin for hearing the call and to Amy Lum who delivered all the clothing!
